Explore the Barkside Mysteries
Every walk can become an adventure when Dahlia & Trixie are on the case!
Explore the Barkside collection and follow our four-legged detectives as they sniff out clues, meet unforgettable characters, and uncover mysteries inspired by the sights, stories, and charm of historic St. Augustine.

The Case of the Missing Squirrel
Was inspired by real walks through the streets of historic St. Augustine — the same routes our dogs, Dahlia and Trixie, take every day. Along the way, they visit real dog-friendly local shops and landmarks, like J.R. Benet, Faux Paws, and the Spanish Military Hospital, and cross paths with real friends who became characters in the story. When the town's beloved squirrel, Peanut, goes missing, Dahlia and Trixie follow the clues down Aviles Street and through the Plaza de la Constitución — turning our everyday walks into a mystery adventure rooted in the real history and heart of St. Augustine.

Ghostly Growls at the Lighthouse
Every Barkside adventure starts the same way — a walk around St. Augustine with my two real-life detectives, Dahlia and Trixie. This one began near the lighthouse, where local legend and ghost stories are practically part of the scenery. In Ghostly Growls at the Lighthouse, our fearless pups investigate a mystery that turns out to be less "ghost story" and more "heartwarming rescue" — with a little help from Ayla's Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue along the way.

The Rhythmn of the Matanzas
Resilience in the Face of Adversity
Every rescue dog has a story of survival; every reader has a battle they've won. Dahlia and Trixie invite you to explore the Nation’s Oldest City, proving that while the tides may be tough, your 'badge of honor' is what makes you unstoppable. Find your rhythm. Find your village.
The path to wellness isn't always a straight line—it’s a winding road through mist and shadow. For me, that journey was navigated with a leash in one hand and hope in the other. Dahlia and Trixie weren't just inspirations for a story; they were my anchors through health challenges and personal hurdles. Their unwavering love taught me that 'victory' isn't just about reaching the finish line—it’s about the courage to keep moving, one step at a time, with your village by your side.
Dedicated to Dahlia, Trixie, and every rescue pup who reminds us that we are never truly lost.
